THE ISABELLA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT HAS ARRESTED AN INDIVIDUAL ON AN OPEN MURDER CHARGE.

Jason Lantz Fish, a 34 year old male from Weidman, MI has been arrested on an open murder charge by the Isabella County Sheriff's Department early this morning.  The arrest stems from a domestic dispute that occurred on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the couples' residence, which is located in the 900 block of N. Rolland Rd. in Sherman Township.

The body of Stephanie Rochelle Fish, a 34 year old female from Weidman, MI and Jason Fish's wife was found in their home.  The Michigan State Police Crime Lab has been called to assist in processing the crime scene.

A .22 caliber rifle has been seized as possible evidence in the case.

The case originated yesterday as a missing persons case.  An Amber Alert was put out for Brody Fish, the 4 year old son of Jason and Stephanie.  Brody and his father were located in Genesee County as a result of the Amber Alert.  They were brought back to Mt. Pleasant for questioning.

Brody is currently staying with a family member.

An autopsy for Stephanie Fish will be scheduled for later today or sometime tomorrow.
