DETROIT -- General Motors is recalling nearly a quarter of a million vehicles for possible seatbelt problems.

The recall affects 243-thousand crossover vehicles, including the Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook from the 2009 and 2010 model years.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says part of the second row seat trim could hit the seat belt buckle, and in some cases, cause it to unbuckle.  This could keep a passenger from being properly restrained during a crash.

GM dealers will fix the side seat trim.  They'll also inspect the seat belt buckles and make repairs if needed.  Affected owners will be notified by mail.
